PS: i have the same problem with my Toshiba Laptop Burner SD-R6012 (he can max. 2x, but burn only 1x on no name disks)

Ответ: As far as I know Toshiba 6012 can burn only 1x speed max.

Hi lenni!

I wanna say a big "Thanx" to you!!! You saved my life and the life of my toshiba burner ;o) At the first time Iґve woundered about my toshiba because of very loong burning time (approx. 1 hour) and after Iґve installed your latest firmware patch Iґve found the happiness while the short(because of 4x-Speed) burning process again!

is there a solution for toshiba r5002 to burn 2x? can i use the prog with?

Ответ: Yes, you should use this way:

To get 4x patch first run H2H.exe and load your kmx033.hex (name depends on your firmware)

Press [Browse] and open file kmx033.hex,
Press [More options], [Load file], Patch for 4x [Apply], [Save file]

After successfully flashing in DOS mode you will get patched X433 firmware.

Я записал диски princo na 2X отлично картинку выслал по мылу

Ответ: Я вчера попробовал другие болванки, они тоже Princo, но абсолютно белые, без надписей. Раньше у меня запарывались (конец нечитаем, а первые 4гига ок) с надписью Princo на морде. А вот эти "чисто белые" (по цене 25 руб или $0.85) на скорости 2х пишутся абсолютно нормально. Но почему то мой DVD-плеер (который не компьютерный, а обычный видео) на эти болванки начинает "скрежетать" не по-детски и пишет потом "no disc" :-(

Ответ: Что значит "добавить в прошивку"? Там уже все добавлено как надо.

Только эти ваши диски "OPTODISCR004" не подходят для записи на большой скорости. Этот Digitex я тоже купил и накололся. На скорости 1х нормально, а выше облом.

Используйте Memorex "CMC MAG. AF1" или Mirex "MBI 01RG20", эти нормально на 4х пишутся и стоят недорого, в районе 30-40 рублей за штуку.

new windows patch for 1033 don''t works, when i patch it with H2H 2.0.2 it say patch was OK, but when I try to run pached firmware 1033 and after clicking on OK and another windows it say SDR5112-1033.ex.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. I use W2K PRO SP4. I''m actually running patched FW1031...

After you posted on my site I downloaded the program and patched the X031 formware and it works perfectly. I can finally use these cheap 2x discs at 2x - thanks Lenni!

Ответ: I slightly modified patch in version 2.0.2 especially for you to support 2x discs. What type of discs (ADIP) do you have?

Отличная работа!

Кстати та же проблема что и с Princo возникает
на белых дисках с ID GSC002. После 4.2 G идёт сбой.
Если записывать на 4x. Что странно, если писать их
на 2x то они практически не читаются на моих домашних
приводах (диски пишу на работе). Но это всё уже от
дисков, а за программу всё равно огромное спасибо,
по крайней мере теперь есть выбор.

Ответ: GSC002 - цыфирь 2 означает скорее всего, что они только для скорости 2х. А на коробке или на морде диска есть буквы 4х certified?
И что значит "практически не читаются дома", что у тебя Nero DVD test выдает, какую картинку? Или ты на видео плеере их смотришь и там картинка на квадратики рассыпается?

записал еще болванку на скорости 2X все читается прекрасно видать
DVD "Sky" (AN31) 4x понимать как 2X стоит проверить Princo на скорости 2x

Ответ: Сегодня проверю Princo на 1033-й прошивке на скорости 2х и на 4х. У меня как раз 2 штуки болванки остались. Прошивка 1033 готова, но я ее пока не выкладываю, хочу сам сегодня сам потестрировать, завтра выложу 1033 revA / revB.

DVD "Sky" (AN31) 4x - bad news :(
запись прошла всяб верификация - нет первые 4 гигабайта читаются .
писал я на скорости 3.9 (максимум у меня )
прошивка патченая 1031

Ответ: То есть у тебя тоже первые 4 гига нормально, как у меня на Princo? А потом только облом? Ну хоть в чем то совпадает! :-)

А вот еще на страничке http://trtsoft.webzdarma.cz/toshiba/toshiba.htm в самом верху написано (по-чешски, но можно разобрать), что AN31 нормально пишутся...

Thanks your patch is full function, i tested media Multidisc 4x (adip: VDSPMSAB 01), Infotech 4x (adip: VANGUARD), DataWrite 4x (adip: AN31)
all writed in 4x

Ответ: Warning! You need to use DMA mode only.

My friend had a trouble with the H2H super patch because it doesn''t works in PIO transfer mode.
You need to check that "DMA on" in Nero Infotool / Configuration.
If you have "DMA off" message for DVD-drive or for the host Hard-drive then you must change it in menu
Start / Control Panel / System / Device Manager / IDE controller / Primary and Secondary / Additional / DMA, if available

have you 1033 hex for KP(B version) of SDR5112 and any writing tool ? I have only 1031 in HEX and writer V156TEG, but when i have modified firmware TEG no update my drive !!! please help

I have SDR5112-RevB drive too. Now I am using 1031 firmware (R5112B_1031.zip) for patching and testing my dvd-drive.

I have no 1033 in Hex, only in Exe file SDR5112-1033.exe. I think it is possible to extract 1033 Hex from Exe file. It contains LZW-packed binary code of the firmware. I will try to exract it later.

I bought some types of DVDs (Fuji, Princo, Verbatim, Mirex, Memorex) and plan to test it.
