H2H version 2.1 advantages compares to version 2.0.3:
1) It supports Toshiba 5112/6112 dvd-drive models.
2) You can edit speed for each (or all) of Medials in adip list.
3) Speed of DVD-RW is 2x for default.

01-june-04: ready H2H super patch v2 for Windows based 1033 firmware flashing of Toshiba SD-R5112 drive. You need to download Zip file with 1033 firmware. After that please use H2H to patch and run SD-R5112-1033.exe. After that you will get Region free (rpc1) and 4x burning for almost all DVD-R medials.
Please note that this method is good for both RevA and RevB modification of the drive. You will get X433 firmware number after updating. You can easy return to native 1033 if you will use H2H and press buttons [More Options], [Load file], [Remove] twice, [Save file].

1 июня 04: Готова вторая версия H2H super patch. Она теперь умеет патчить Windows версию программы с 1033-й прошивкой. Теперь не надо заморачиваться с дискетой для DOS. Вам потребуется собственно Zip файл с 1033-й прошивкой. После этого используйте H2H super patch чтобы пропатчить и запустить SD-R5112-1033.exe. После окончания прошивки вы получите возможность смотреть DVD с любым Country кодом, т.е. Region free (rpc1) и сможете записывать на скорости 4x почти все типы болванок. Некоторые конечно портятся, но большинство типов работают нормально.
Патч версии 2.0 годится для RevA и RevB типов привода, так как Windows 1033 прошивка содержит в себе и тот и другой. После прошивки вы получите X433 номер прошивки. Чтобы вернуться к заводской прошивке 1033 с помощью H2H нажмите кнопки [More Options], [Load file], [Remove] 2 раза, [Save file].
H2H - hack Toshiba SD-R5112 firmware
Please download the latest version of the program H2H to hack HEX file with Toshiba SD-R5112 to allow writing 4x on unknown DVD-R media. It supports all firmware version (1030,1031,1032,1033). You need EXE or HEX file from there.Advantages:
1) It supports Region free(rpc1) patch by hijacker and 4x burning speed patch by me. Firmware version with two patches will be X433
2) It can patch Windows based SD-R5112-1033.exe file. It was really hard to do. From now you do not need to boot DOS to update your drive. All done using Windows after two reboots.
3) It can extract both RevA(files kn*.*) and RevB(files kp*.*) HEX file from 1033.exe
4) If you will use patched 1033.exe then you can update X031(X033) firmware to 1033(X033,X433) firmware. Original 1033.exe was required first the X031->1031 and next 1031->1033.

Преимущества:
1) Поддерживает Region free(rpc1) patch by hijacker и 4x скоростную запись для левых болванок by me. После прошивки версия firmware с двумя патчами будет X433.
2) Умеет патчить оригинальный SD-R5112-1033.exe файл. Теперь вам больше не нужно грузить чистый DOS чтобы прошить рекордер. Все делается из-под Windows после двух перезагрузок.
3) Умеет выделять из 1033.exe и записывать отдельным файлом прошивки RevA(файлы kn*.*) и RevB(файлы kp*.*). Это сделано для истинных фанатов DOS прошивок.
4) Если вы будете использовать пропатченный 1033.exe тогда вы сможете напрямую прошивать 1033(X033,X433) прошивку, даже если раньше стояла X031(X033). Фирменный 1033.exe требовал сначала перейти на фирменную 1031, т.е. сначала X031->1031 а потом только 1031->1033.

The comments about H2H super patch
KotwI use your patch neverthless you said that it has errors. I use Vobis DVD and with your patch I can burn them x2 (before this DVD can be write only x1) and it played great and no errors appear. So I don't need to burn cheap DVD x4 becouse it always may had errors after burrning, not only Toshiba write badly cheap DVD :)))
You take off x1 write lock and now everyone could choose now if he want to write faster on cheap DVD but with errors that could appear or write x1 and be sure that DVD will be write with no errors. Choose is easy, everyone just need to try with what DVD they could write faster than x1 :)))
So thanks a lot for your patch I really found it helpful.

i have patched from 1033 revB to X031 revB with a patched hex file and it works just great!!!!! i could burn my Intenso DVD-R with 4x speed without any errors!!!!! thanks for that great work!!!!! 1000 kisses ;))

H2H patch works just fine! I've patched the original 1031 firmware! I burned 2 differend brads of DVD, Eproformance(ProdiskS03) wich with the original 1031 burns at 2x max! With the patched firmware I've burned it at 4x with no errors at all!
The other brand was a Noname DVD (made in Bulgaria, where I live)! It burns perfectly at 4x without any errors!

so I just patched my firmware and aplied it to the burner.....it's working great now. I think you should know that the firmware I patched is the x031 being the only one I could use and I am writing on Memorex 4x DVD-R. Thanks for the patch.

toshiba sdr 5112 bios patch per 4x all dvd a questo indirizzo http://lenni2004.narod.ru/index.html trovate una patch da applicare ai bios del toshiba revisione a non so se va anche per le altre revisioni per farli andare a 4x con i dvd che masterizza a 1 sempre ovvio siano marchiati 4x non provate quelli 1x 0 2x perche ve li potrebbe forzare a 4 e i risultati potrebbero essere pessimi io l ho istallato e mi masterizza tutto a 4x senza problemi ne errori sembra ci sia qualche problema solo coi princo dopo i 4 gb ma non so di che grado fossero non mi prendo alcuna responsabilita chi lo istalla sappia quello che fa e abbia qualche esperienza nell aggiornare i bios soprattutto per il toshiba che rompe sempre le scatole quando si prova ad aggiornarlo io ho usato il bios r5112_xm32 per il toshiba revisione a ovviamente il bios da dos con floppy quello autoeseguibile lo potete buttare nel cess

I own original Toshiba SD-R5002 - with 1033 original FW. I couldn't find a hex file because Toshiba release the 1033 FW as an executable - so I got X033 FW (no region lock) and used your prog on it. I applied the x2 patch and saved the file. I didn't try to flash the drive with it, because the resulting file was 19 bytes shorter - I've compared the two files (X033 and X233 after your prog) and found very little differences - and the lacking 19 bytes were at the beginning of the original FW - so I added first 19 bytes to your file and flashed the drive with it. And it seems that it works without any problems - up till now I've been a bit busy and burned olny 1 dvd-r a ritek g5 (platinum 8x) and it burns with 2x speed (before only 1x). And the resulting dvd works fine without any problems...
Прошил через hex файл свой rev B, на x433, проблем нет, диски пишутся нормально , все таки прошивка x033 чем-то отличается от x031, по крайней мере у меня пропали проблемы c dvd-rw дисками Ritek ( после записи Nero не проходила верификация )

Болванки GSC002 (GigaStorage Corp.) пишутся на 4х (раньше только на 1х) и читаются и идеальным графиком! Пока пользуюсь только ими.

Пропатчил твоей прогой свой сидюк, теперь свои мирексы MBI 01RG20 я записываю на 4х скоростях. Да и скорость чтения теперь не ограничевается 5400кб/с, а продолжает расти.
Кстати на счёт скорости, иногда скорость чтения была постоянной на всех областях диска (~5400mb), а иногда начинается с 2800 и заканчивается 6700.
Я клоню к тому что, сам драйв может и на большей скорости шпинделя работать, может это тоже как-нить пропатчить можно?
